Alice Marie Caissie


Alice M. Caissie, 94, of Villa Du Repos Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Born in Acadieville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Caissie) Doiron. Alice spent a good portion of her life staying at home raising her family, she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them, but especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. She had an infectious smile and a huge heart and was always willing to lend a hand when needed, it brought her joy to make people smile. Alice will be sadly missed by her children, Norma O’Keefe (Michael), Maureen Sutton (late Bernard), Lawrence "Larry" Caissie (Julie Savoie) and Ronald Caissie; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister, Rita Gallant as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband, George J. Caissie; daughter, Doreen; sons, Lawrence and Robert; sisters, Anna Arsenault and Virgine Johnson and brothers, Eddie, Allison, Joseph and Rosimond Doiron. Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Alice’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Allison Carroll leading the service. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held in the St. Francois De Sales Parish Cemetery, Rogersville, later in the spring. In memory of Alice, donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
