Louise Mae Lowther


Louise M. Lowther, 81, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Born in Steeves Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Levis and Jennie (Hope) Lutes.  Louise was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.  Louise will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, D. L. Wayne Lowther; sons, Troy and Grant, both of Moncton; sisters, Thelma Steeves and Pauline Lutes, both of Moncton; brother, Lea Lutes of Scarborough, ON; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Stella Tingley, Doris Jones, Jean Lockhart and Shirley Lewis and brother, Omer Lutes; sisters-in-law, Janice and Karen; and brother-in-law, Doug.  Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Louise’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will be in Steeves Mountain Cemetery later in the spring.  In memory of Louise, donations to the Moncton Employment and Training Services, Inc. (METS) or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
