Ronald Wesley Traves

R. Wesley Traves, 85, of the Villa du Repos and formerly of Traynor St., Riverview, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, April 28, 2018.  Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Scott) Traves.  Wesley was an Office Clerk with CNR and Via Rail, retiring in 1989 after 38 years’ of service. He enjoyed being outdoors, going for walks and gardening. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Wesley will be sadly missed by his wife, Geraldine "Gerry" (Gillis) Traves; daughters, Linda LeBlanc (Lenny) of Lakeville, Westmorland Co. and Shelly LeBlanc (Denis) of Moncton; son-in-law, Frank Coleman; grandchildren, Amber MacDonald (Dave), Jason Allain (Jenna) and Corey LeBlanc (Chrissy); great grandchildren, Dylan, Kyra, Kaleb, Chelsea (Patrick), Georgia and Vivienne, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Marilyn Coleman; sister, Molly Prosser and brothers Jim and Charlie; special feline friend, Archie.  A gathering to celebrate and honour Wesley’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Reception Centre, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Interment will be in Wilmot Cemetery later in the spring.  In memory of Wesley, donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital or the Greater Moncton SPCA would be appreciated.
